About Me

Welcome to the J & L Photography website. I started taking picture with my first SLR 35mm camera when I was sixteen and the passion for photography had set in. Most of my photos began with family outings and vacations. Then I started to go places just to take pictures for myself. I asked others what they thought, and the compliments started coming in. I received my Press Credentials as a Freelance Photographer. My dream of being a professional photographer and creating memories on film was coming true. I was shooting mostly nature and scenic when the opportunity in 1994 came for me to shoot racing, particularly an off road racing series called SODA.

In 1997, SODA changed to CORR and I became their Official Photographers. In 1999, I also became the Official Photographers for the Worldwide Snowmobile Association ( WSA, now WPSA ) series. And then for the United States Snowmobile Association ( USSA ) series. I've progressed into the digital world with ease and have expanded into a new world of wonderful light, color, extreme motorsports and a drive for turning motion into memories.

My work has been used from coast to coast in newspapers, magazine's, ad's, autograph cards, web sites, posters, calendars, programs, brochure, newsletters, billboards and more. Awards for photo contests also add to my history. My vision has been published in many works including:
